Anyone who knows me knows that I like to cook but rarely bake.  The reason?  When I cook I don't have to measure and with baking you need precise measurements, lol.  But I think I might be doing a bit more baking now!  These beautiful measuring cups from KitchenMade are great!  Not only do the stack neatly and have a ring that opens to allow you to access whichever cup you need without having the rest of them laying around (and getting lost!)  They are a beautiful with flat bottom and weighted design  for level measurements and markings on the inside for those times when you don't want to use 3 different cups for 1 cup, 1/2 cup and 1/4 cups for just one recipe.....because that would take more time when washing up, time you could use for eating your fresh yummies!

Color Me Impressed

I received the PURGGO Car Air Freshener free for review purposes about 4 days ago but needed to wait until I could get hubby to stay home long enough to put it in his truck.  While I was waiting the air freshener sat in my office which is also home to a litter box.  It wasn't long (like less than a day) before I noticed the pleasant lack of smell in there! I couldn't wait to get it into my husband's stinky wharf truck!  Anyone who knows a commercial fisherman knows that their truck is a smell unlike any other, lol!  The morning after I put it in the truck I asked my husband how it smelled ..."It still smells fine"  Umm, yeah...I know how it smelled in there and "fine" wasn't a word I would have chosen!  So I went to smell for myself....and I wasn't surprised.  After seeing how well it worked in my office we had the same results in the truck, a nice, clean NON-fish smell!  Finally, I can go places with hubby and not worry about smelling, lol.

After having such awesome results we are pretty sure we will be buying a second (or third!) one using the 25% off coupon that came with it to have in my car and in the office.

Outside The Box Creations

I won a contest to receive a free half sheet of custom Jamberry nail Art Studio wraps from fellow consultant Meagan Constantino.  They came yesterday and are GORGEOUS!  The design is called Be Still (purple) and I sat down today to apply them.  The apply quickly and easily as do all Jamberry designs and my 6 year old daughter is so very jealous...A.  she loves Jamberry and B. she LOVES purple!!

I applied to receive this medical app free for review purposes. What I actually got was the free trial version available to anyone from their website  http://www.medoclock.com.  In the free version you can have 1 user and add only 2 medications for that user. The full version allows for much more but without access to that version I don't feel that I can give a complete review of this app. I think it "might" be decent but am unable to confirm this without full access, lol

Xtava's Pro-Satin Infrared Straightener 

I usually go back and forth between straightening my hair and curling it (when I do actually style my hair instead of my standard ponytail) so when I was offered the chance to review Xtava's Pro-Satin Infrared Straightener - Professional Flat Iron with Tourmaline Ceramic Plates I jumped on it, lol

As with the Xtava Allure hair dryer, the first thing you notice is the GORGEOUS packaging! The Pro-Satin Straightener comes in a glorious matte finish black box that I just can't bring myself to toss...it's really THAT pretty, lol. Inside the box you'll find a zippered pouch and when I opened it I found my MOST favorite feature of the whole thing....a heat proof lining!! I can't even tell you how many times I've wanted to straighten my hair while away over night but didn't want to deal with transporting a hot flat iron!

The body of the straightener is very sleek and soft to the touch. It heats up super fast...0 to 350 degrees in 35.8 seconds!! And speaking of heat the instructuion manual includes a chart stating what temperature is best for what type of hair.....apparently, my "high as it can go" method isn't correct, lol! The temperature and power buttons are hidden on the inside of the handle to nicely maintain the sleek design of the straigthener.

As I started straightening my hair I couldn't believe how smooth it travelled over the hair...nothing like the old straightener I used which pulled out the odd hair or 3 on the way down!

This is definitley my favorite of all of the products that I have reviewed and it will get a lot of use in
my household for sure!!

Xtava Allure 200 Professional Hair Dryer

I'll start off by saying that I rarely blow dry my hair....and when I say rarely I really mean very rarely, lol. Then I was offered the chance to review Xtava's Allure 2200 ionic blow dryer so i figured, what the heck? Maybe I will start blow drying my hair again, and after giving it a try I actually will!

The first thing you notice is the GORGEOUS packaging! I know you're thinking "So? What does packaging have to do with how it works?" Honestly, nothing but my first instinct upon seeing it was that it looked like high quality....and I was right!

The body of the dryer is very sleek and it is very lightweight which, when you have a massive amount of hair like I do, is a huge selling point, lol. I like the 2 speed settings and 3 heat settings plus a cool air shot button. I can do warm and low for my daughter or hot and high for me...score!!

In short, I definitley will recommend this dryer to others. High quality for low price....my favorite!

I received Goodnight Jane free for review in ibook form from Wonderberry Books.  When I first opened the book to read it myself before sharing with my 6 year old my initial thought was "A book about monsters scaring a little girl at night!?!?  Are they nuts??"  But it very quickly changed my mind and had me grinning by page 3, lol.  Jane's dad inadvertently sets things in motion with the phrase so many of us utter when tucking our little ones in..."Goodnight, don't let the bed bugs bite"....from there Jane's imagination takes flight, lol.  I read it with my daughter last night and she loved it...giggling the whole way through and trying to predict what was coming next.  We both highly recommend this book for your little ones with Maya giving it her highest rating..."Can we read it again tomorrow tonight?!?"
